About the fish room
Small on purpose. A short list of livestock, kept properly, sold to people who will look after it.
Why the list is short
Most shops measure themselves by how many tanks they run. We do the opposite. The fish room carries no more than 12 livestock lines at any one time, which means every species on the board gets the water volume, the filtration and the observation time it actually needs.
A short list also means we know each fish. We can tell you what it is eating, how long it has been with us, how it behaves, and honestly whether it belongs in your tank.
Quarantine and conditioning
New arrivals are held separately and watched before they go on the board. They are not offered for sale on the day they land. By the time you see a fish listed as available it is settled, feeding and behaving normally.
Why livestock is pickup only
We do not post live fish, shrimp or snails. Bagging an animal for a courier network means heat, noise, rough handling and an unpredictable transit time. For a small operation that cannot control any of it, the honest answer is not to do it at all.
Collecting in person also means you see the fish swimming before you commit, and we get to answer your questions face to face. Livestock Pickup by appointment only.
Food and dry goods
The food, test kits, treatments and hardware we list are the things we use in our own tanks. These are not livestock, so they post Australia wide, free over $150.00.
Straight advice
If a fish will outgrow your tank, harass your existing stock or need water conditions you cannot hold, we will say so before you buy. A dead fish and an unhappy customer costs more than a lost sale.
